Excitement is growing as the Southern California team is planning the 2010 CARPOSA Conference.  With the dates  set, the the team has accepted a very generous offer from Riverside County Regional Park and Open Space District to be the host. 

In response to feedback provided at previous conferences, venues for field trips are conveniently close by, and time is being allowed between sessions to allow for informal networking and discussion of the featured presentations.  Hands-on illustration of cutting edge park and open space management techniques will be provided.

A gracious and informally elegant banquet is being planned on the Thursday evening, with a return of the recognition of local legislators at the banquet. 

Agreements are currently being negotiated with local hotels for discounted accommodations for conference attendees. 

Special features this year include a session on the use of technology for public outreach, and discussions on strategies for dealing with budget challenges.
