Membership Dues 2010/2011 In light of the current economic situation facing many agencies, the CARPOSA Board has decided that dues payments for existing members will be suspended for the July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011 fiscal year. This means that any individual or agency which was in good standing (paid membership) as of June 30th, 2010 will not need to pay dues for the 2010/2011 fiscal year. To check on your/your agency's membership status, please contact CARPOSA Secretary Maureen Snelgrove at MSnelgrove@parks.sbcounty.gov Agencies and individuals who wish to join, or renew a lapsed membership, may do so at a reduced rate. The reduced rate is $150 for an agency, and $50 for an individual. If you would like to pay by check, then please Download the dues renewal form and send it in along with your payment.
If you wish to pay by credit card or PayPal account, then please
click on the "register" button to be taken to the EventBrite website to
complete the transaction.

CARPOSA is the California Association of Regional Park and Open Space Administrators. Our membership is comprised of professional staff members from a variety of California Park and Open Space management agencies. CARPOSA has a longstanding reputation for working effectively with legislators, the California Department of Parks and Recreation, the California Association of Counties, and State and Federal agencies to promote effective and meaningful programs and legislation and to promote funding of open space, park and recreation programs. |
CARPOSA 2010 FALL CONFERENCE CANCELLED The Fall 2010 Conference has cancelled because of the continuing economic hardships being experienced by park and open space agencies. Options for hosting a modified form of the conference in 2011, perhaps in partnership with another professional organization, are being investigated. Please check the conference page for the latest information. |
CARPOSA's Logo Reflects Our Role!
In keeping with the organization's role as the premier networking and professional leadership organization for those involved in managing California's Park and Open Space lands, the membership approved the design of a new logo, which is shown above. Thanks to the hard work of the design team, this symbol of our organization will be used to promote our visibility and mission.
