Membership - 2009/2010


 

 

Membership is open to parks or open space administrators, at the managerial or confidential level, in any California city, county or special district, regardless of the title used, who is responsible for the administration of parks, open space, or recreation activities.

Staff who are not at the managerial or confidential level may be members when they are sponsored by a current member, who is employed by the same agency as the prospective member, and where the sponsor is at the managerial or confidential level. 

Please note that each agency may only bring one non-managerial/confidential staff member to the annual conference, and the staff member must be accompanied and sponsored by a management/confidential level staff member.

Membership is done on an agency basis, with an agency membership being $300 with no limit on the number of staff who may be enrolled as long as the staff member meets the eligibility criteria.

Individual memberships are available for $100 for staff for smaller agencies.

Membership can be a benefit to both higher level managers, and those who are just beginning to take on management level responsibilities in your organization.
